Enrollment Academic Reading and Writing Workshops for Students
In the winter semester, the Writing Center will again offer a workshop every week to support academic writing and reading in studies.
The first block of workshops from October to December will focus on the organization of writing tasks, routines that make writing easier, and reading in studies: All information and registration for the individual workshops on OPAL. In the second workshop block from January to March, the topics then revolve more around writing seminar papers and theses, including methods for finding topics, tips for structure, language and style, and writing strategies. Enrollment opens Dec. 1. In addition, the Writing Center is offering two workshop series, which can be credited with up to 2 CP as part of the studium generale, one starting in October on reading in studies and another in February and March on scientific writing. Further information on the workshop series and registration can be found on OPAL.
Please notice: All workshops will be held in German. Since workshops in English were unfortunately hardly attended last semester, we have not included any in the program this semester. If you would prefer to attend workshops in English, please email me at .
Furthermore, the writing peer tutors offer Writing Counselling, in German and English, as usual: Monday through Friday 10 a.m. - noon and 4 p.m. - 6 p.m. more information on writing consultations.
