Save the Date: Long Night of Writing 2026 on March 5
On Thursday, March 5 from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m., the big online collaborative event Long Night of Writing for academic writing and learning for students and doctoral candidates will take place again this year.
Throughout the evening, five online conference rooms will host interactive lectures and workshops lasting 45 to 90 minutes each on (almost) all aspects of academic writing, ranging from how to use reference management software and AI research assistants to correct referencing and practical techniques to kickstart your writing process. While most oft them will be in German, three workshops will be held in English, targeting internationel students and their writing process specifically. The virtual writing room invites you to turn the night into text and continue working on your own texts. During the breaks, you can relax and recharge your batteries with yoga.

Behind the scenes
The event is organized and hosted by the SLUB Dresden, the TUD|Schreibzentrum, the SchreibCenter and the ULB of the TU Darmstadt and the Schreibwerkstatt of the University of Stuttgart. All offers are developed and provided by experts from various fields.
