STRONG NETWORKS - STRONG WOMEN

The starting signal for the 2026 mentoring year has been given: following a successful kick-off event, the “Join Science” and “WISE” programmes at TU Dresden have started a new round. Under the motto “From studies to the future”, nearly 60 female students from STEM degree programmes are working together with around 40 experienced mentors from business, industry and science.

The aim of the programmes is to prepare young women specifically for their career entry and to support them on their career path. As part of the Mentoring Year, participants benefit not only from individual mentoring sessions but also from empowerment workshops and networking opportunities.

We would like to extend our special thanks to the dedicated mentors, the majority of whom are alumnae of TU Dresden and who, with their expertise and time, make a decisive contribution to the success of the programmes. We would also like to thank Katrin Saure from Diversity Management for her inspiring and successful keynote speech, which provided a valuable and motivating foundation for the kick-off event.
