Wikipedia is dominated by men. Not only are women extremely underrepresented among the authors, but only 18 per cent of the biography articles are dedicated to women. Yet women have made a significant contribution to science, history and society.

Increasing their visibility in Wikipedia is a challenge that TU Dresden would like to take up together with the Women@DDc network. The occasion is the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, which takes place annually on 11 February. 

Anyone who has always wanted to know how Wikipedia actually works and would like to contribute something themselves is cordially invited to the two-part workshop "WikiWomen in Science: Creating Visibility, Sharing Stories".
