TUD takes part in the "SPIN2030 Science Festival" in Dresden
On March 8, 2024 (noon to 10:00 pm) and March 9 (10:00 am to 6:00 pm), the Technische Sammlungen Dresden (Junghansstraße 1-3) will be transformed into a science wonderland with highlights from the Saxon research landscape. TUD Dresden University of Technology will also be taking part in the "SPIN2030 Science Festival" organized by the Saxon State Ministry of Science, Culture and Tourism (SMWK). TUD will be represented with contributions from its Clusters of Excellence "Centerfor Tactile Internet with Human-in-the-Loop (CeTI)“, „Complexity and Topology in Quantum Matter (ct.qmat) and “Physics of Life (PoL) as well as theSchool of Civil and Environmental Engineering.
TUD's research contributions to the science festival ranges from advanced robotics and demonstrators on human-technology interaction (CeTI), to talks with scientists on the fascinating world of quantum physics and the functioning of superconductors (both ct.qmat), to the fundamental question of how physics can contribute to the understanding of life itself (PoL). Furthermore, representatives of the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering will provide information on planetary boundaries, climate tipping points and healthy ecosystems.
