The Society of Friends and Supporters of TU Dresden launches a relief fund for students and asks for your support
Under the patronage of TU Dresden’s Rector, the Society of Friends and Supporters of TU Dresden e. V. (GFF) has set up an aid programme for students.
Students, in particular, are financially affected by the corona crisis: Part-time jobs have been cancelled due to contact restrictions and financial support from parents is only possible to a limited extent. “The corona crisis causes considerable financial problems for many students at our university, which endanger the successful continuation of their studies. I am committed to finding a solution on a political level and support this appeal of the GFF for our students with a personal donation. In this emergency situation, please consider donating too” states TUD Rector Prof. Hans Müller-Steinhagen, who was one of the first to make a donation.
In order to quickly and easily provide emergency scholarships and assistance, GFF has set up a flexible support fund and asks for your support for TUD students. Prof. Kurt Rößner, GFF President: "For many students, the financing of their studies is only secured by an additional practical activity, the practice of which, however, is not possible due to legal regulations and restrictions. Therefore, we want to provide fast and unbureaucratic help to the best of our ability.” For every euro donated, the GFF will match the donation from their own funds. The donations will be distributed among those students who have suffered the greatest detriment due to the current situation. Every contribution helps!
