The program 'FOSTER – Funds for Student Research' is part of the excellence strategy 'TUD 2028 - Synergy and beyond'. FOSTER supports student research at TU Dresden and increases its visibility.

The Objectives of FOSTER are:

• Introducing students to research and academic cultures
• Strengthening interdisciplinarity
• Developing university-wide incentive structures for student research
• Rewarding the commitment of lecturers for student research projects
• Attracting excellent early-career researchers

There are currently no deadlines for applications for student projects and research-orientated teaching projects up to € 10,000.00, i.e. applications can be submitted at any time. For bigger projects, there are annual calls for proposals. All members of the TU Dresden are entitled to apply.
