TUD Campus Festival 2026
The TUD Campus Festival will take place on July 2, 2026, as it did last year, on the lawn by the Auditorium Center and in the courtyard of the Fritz-Foerster Building, in our long-standing partnership with the concert agency “Landstreicher Konzerte.”
Due to the difficult budget situation in 2026, no free tickets can be provided for TUD members this year, but we were able to arrange with the organizer for a block of 500 tickets at a special price of 15.00 euros for TUD students, which were raffled off via this website from April 13 to 29, 2026 .
Program
The program begins around 4:00 p.m.
The Vice-Rector Academic Affairs Across the Life Course, Prof. Niels Modler, will open the festival. This will be followed by a musically diverse stage program, which will of course once again feature TUD bands and DJs:
4:00 p.m.: TU Big Band
TU-Bigband
The TU Big Band is a jazz orchestra that plays swing, jazz, and dance music. Its approximately 30 active members consist of students and alumni. The 50-year-old ensemble performs about ten times a year, including at dance balls, anniversary celebrations, city festivals, and, of course, university events.
The TU Big Band traditionally opens the TUD Campus Festival on the Fritz Stage.
5:00 p.m. and 6:35 p.m. Karo♢Carl
KaroCarl
The indie DJ duo karo♢carl—that’s Caro and Karl—met while studying communication science at TUD and spent their time there checking out all of Dresden’s indie parties. Karl has remained loyal to the university ever since and can regularly be seen on social media channels as the host of various video formats. These days, they’re not just on the dance floor—they’re also behind the DJ booth themselves. At Katy’s Garage and other venues, they love to spin fresh indie tracks, hits from the Neue Neue Deutsche Welle (NNDW), and pop-punk.
5:45 p.m. PunkAllee
PunkAllee
With PunkAllee, the name says it all!
The band, led by TUD professors Frank Ellinger and Andrés Lasagni, is dedicated to punk rock and has already made hits like “Circuit Song” famous on social media.
At the 2026 TUD Campus Festival, they’ll kick things off with a brand-new soccer song and their latest hit, “Beer Is Cheaper Than Gas.”
7:15 p.m. Pink Noise And The Oscillators
Pink Noise And The Oscillators
Pink Noise And The Oscillators, the cover band from the Chair of Acoustics and Haptics, came together earlier this year to provide musical entertainment for Germany’s largest acoustics conference, DAGA 2026, which was hosted by our department in Dresden at the end of March. With a diverse set list ranging from Bon Jovi to Bloc Party, PiNATO really got the party going for the more than 1,000 conference attendees at the social evening at the Alter Schlachthof.
8:00 p.m. DJ Fitzek
DJFitzek
DJ Fitzek is one of the TUD acts that are a staple at the Campus Festival. With his rousing stage show and dancing robot dogs, he makes the lawn in the courtyard of the Fritz-Foerster Building shake!
