Albertstadt district – historical garisson town
The Albertstadt district situated in the north of Dresden used to be amongst the biggest garrison towns in Germany. Today the Bundeswehr Museum of Military History reminds of these times and today combines history and present day – not only in the controversial architecture. On Thursday, November 10th, we will visit the museum with a guided tour and get an insight in the effects of warfare on the civil society. Most of the buildings of the military district are used for administration nowadays, but the Army Officer Training School still is in operating and opens its doors for you.
Included in the price:
- Guided tour of the Museum of Military History
- Kaffee und Kuchen at the barracks
- Visit of the Army Officer Training School
- walk around the Albertstadt
