Before Studying
With 119 courses of study it comprises all academic disciplines. The spectrum stretches from Architecture to German studies and Dental medicine. Around 29,000 students currently complete their studies with a Bachelor's, Master's, Diplom or state examination. International dual degrees are available for selected subjects.
TU Dresden puts a great emphasis on internationality. Each year, students from over 125 countries choose to study at TU Dresden. Additionally, the university provides its students with diverse opportunities to take part in exchange programmes in order to gather practical experience abroad. Through a comprehensive language study programme students are well prepared for their stay abroad.

The secret to the university’s success lies in the interdisciplinary education, in the early involvement of its students into current research projects and a high degree of practical relevance.
Studying at TU Dresden is demanding and challenging but is facilitated by an attractive environment for students. The main campus located in the proximity of the city centre comprises a mix of listed, historic buildings and modern structures, embedded in an abundance of greenery.
