For what purpose will personal data be processed?
The personal data will only be used to provide the faculty advertising the position with the opportunity to contact you without obligation in order to obtain further information or a further exchange for the advertised position. Only persons who appear potentially suitable for the advertised position from the point of view of the respective faculty will be contacted.

What is the legal basis for the processing of personal data?
The legal basis for the processing of personal data is Art. 6 Para. 1 Letter a) GDPR (consent) – the use of the service and consent to the associated processing of your personal data are voluntary.
What personal data will be processed?
The following data is processed for the purpose of distributing the newsletter:
- Email address
- Academic Title
- First Name
- Name
- Time the email was sent
- User ID
The user ID is used exclusively to enable revocation.
How long is personal data stored?
We will continue to process your email address indefinitely unless you withdraw your consent. The withdrawal of consent shall not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.
Will personal data be transferred to recipients?
The data is stored on group drives at the TU Dresden computer center (ZIH). The above-mentioned personal data will be deleted immediately after completion of the appointment procedure for the specific position.
Will data be stored by third parties?
No. The data will be processed exclusively within TU Dresden for the above-mentioned purposes.
What general rights do data subjects have?
Voluntariness and withdrawal of consent according to Art. 7 Para. 3 GDPR
The provision of personal data is voluntary. Consent can be refused or revoked at any time informally and without giving reasons to the person responsible. Your personal data will then no longer be processed. This does not affect the lawfulness of the processing carried out on the basis of the consent until revocation.
Right of access by the data subject (Art. 15 GDPR)
You have the right to request information about the personal data processed about you and the possible recipients of this data at any time. You are entitled to a response within one month of receipt of the request for information.
Right to rectification, erasure and restriction of processing (Art. 16–18 GDPR)
You can request the correction or deletion of your personal data or the restriction of processing at any time from TU Dresden.
Right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
You may request that the controller transmit your personal data to you in machine-readable form. Alternatively, you may request the direct transfer of the personal data you have provided to another controller, insofar as this is possible.
Right to lodge a complaint (Art. 77 GDPR)
You can contact the Data Protection Officer of TU Dresden (see above) at any time and, in the event of a complaint under Art. 77 GDPR, the competent supervisory authority for data protection.
