The Writing Center of TU Dresden
The writing peer tutors and lecturers of the Writing Center support students and lecturers in scientific writing and in the teaching of scientific work, among other things with writing consultation, workshops in courses and various further education formats - also during the lecture-free period.
At the Writing Center of TU Dresden (SZD) you can find information and help concerning academic reading and writing. The SZD supports students and lecturers with offers such as
- planning and writing various study texts, such as protocols, seminar papers or theses
- and teaching academic writing in seminars/ lectures and supervision.
Underlying all of our offerings is an understanding of academic writing competence, which is divided into two broad areas: understanding the text (What should be written?) and shaping the writing process (How does it succeed?). What exactly we mean by this is made clear in the following explanatory film:
Accessibility Note: detailed video description to read and have read aloud at https://tud.link/25u4
All information on offers and possibilities for help can be found in the sections for students and lecturers.
Our offers are free of charge for students and teachers of the TU Dresden.
