Watering can heroes: an initiative to preserve the campus greenery
Who are the watering can heroes?
The watering can heroes support the watering of the campus green with their commitment. Green spaces, shrubs and trees are very important for the quality of life on our campus. They provide shade, cool the environment and improve the air quality. All of these functions are important for maintaining the campus as a place worth living in. Heat, drought and heavy rainfall create critical conditions for the campus greenery, especially in the summer months. Regular watering helps the trees and shrubs to remain resilient.
How can I become a watering can hero?
If you would like to take part in the initiative and carry out regular watering campaigns together with other committed people, please register via OPAL.
However, the water filling station is of course available for use by anyone who would like to provide the campus greenery with the necessary water during the dry, hot summer months. Anyone can be a watering can hero.
