Indo-German Partnership in Sustainable Urban Mobility
Fuelled by a need for a society run by greener and renewable energy, India and Germany have set ambitious targets to make urban mobility more sustainable. There is a consensus among the various stakeholders that these targets cannot be achieved by working in silos, and that collaboration and cooperation are the way forward. This has been highlighted by the Declaration of Intent on the Indo-German Partnership on Green Urban Mobility.
To further this cause the DWIH New Delhi has been working to create a meaningful and solution-oriented dialogue on sustainable urban mobility. This year, in several interactive formats, DWIH New Delhi brought together researchers from diverse fields and encouraged an exchange of ideas. Among others, Prof. Regine Gerike (Dean of the "Friedrich List" Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences, Chair of Mobility System Planning) and Hannes Hobbie (Chair of Business Administration, esp. Energy Economics) were contributing from TU Dresden.
TU Dresden is an associated partner of DWIH New Delhi. Read more insights, conversations, first-hand experiences, and the latest developments in India and Germany on the topic and expert opinions on why should both countries cooperate for a greener, cleaner urban mobility system here.
