Bicycles are becoming increasingly important for commuting to work and as a means of transport for short and medium distances. Especially at TU Dresden, many students and employees use their bikes to get to and from campus (see also https://tu-dresden.de/tu-dresden/umwelt-und-klima/mobilitaetsportal/arbeitsweg?set_language=en).

In order to motivate people to cycle, the city cycling campaign took place again this year. Many thanks to all who got on their bikes and participated! With almost 200 cyclists, TUD was the team with the second most participants in Dresden this year. In total, Team TUD covered a good 40,000 km and thus saved about 5,900 kg of CO2. All teams of the city of Dresden reached over 1,400,000 km and exceeded the value of the previous year.
