To support volunteer watering initiatives in Dresden, Stadtentwässerung Dresden GmbH and the Dresden gießt initiative have launched the joint project - Gießkannenheld:innen Dresden. Green spaces, shrubs and trees are of great importance for a liveable city, but with heat, drought and heavy rainfall events, climate change is increasingly creating critical conditions.

One of the initiative's rainwater storage tanks is located at the König-Bau and can be used again this year by employees and students to water trees, shrubs and green spaces on the main campus.
