TU Dresden has adopted its sustainability strategy
On 19 December 2023, the Extended Rectorate adopted the TUD's sustainability strategy. This was developed over the past few months by the Environment Commission in a broad participatory process. TUD has thus set itself ambitious goals and a strategic framework for action in the field of sustainability. Overcoming global challenges requires a conscious and targeted use of resources, a respectful attitude towards the environment and the promotion of social responsibility in order to constructively tackle climate change and secure the livelihoods of present and future generations. The TUD has set itself this task with its sustainability strategy. In 13 goals and an agile action plan for the years 2023-2030, it commits to sustainable development in the fields of governance, campus and operations, research, teaching, digitalisation, dialogue and transfer.
The implementation of the sustainability strategy depends on the active participation of all TUD members. Students, researchers, teaching staff and administrative employees - every person and every contribution plays an important role on the path to a more sustainable future. Everyone, whether individually or in a team, is cordially invited to shape the year 2024 in the spirit of sustainability at TUD and to take part in the Resolution Challenge 2024.
