The environmental management system has been successfully assessed by external auditors. After the surveillance audits in 2019 and 2020, the revalidation audit in December 2021 and January 2022 successfully initiated the continuation of EMAS environmental management at TU Dresden. From December 14-16, 2021, the 1st part of the audit took place in the form of video conferences due to the Corona pandemic. On January 25, 2022, the outstanding on-site inspections followed. During the audit, in addition to the TU Dresden campus, the Medical Faculty, the Botanical Garden and the Tharandt site with the Forest Botanical Garden and part of the Department of Forest Sciences were inspected. The auditors appreciated the activities for the continuous improvement of the environmental performance and could not find any deviations according to EMAS.

The Environmental Report 2021 with the current key figures is now published on the Environmental Reporting website. The environmental report also includes the environmental program with the measures planned for 2022. These are based on the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations.
