Workshop "How to make your lab work more sustainable" on march 13 and 14, 2024

Laboratory and research work is resource-intensive and costly. Laboratory buildings use 3-5 times more energy and water than office buildings, -80°C freezers use about as much energy as a single-family home and life science laboratories worldwide generated about 5.5 million tons of plastic waste already in 2014. Such issues have increasingly come into focus in recent years.

As part of the TUD project "Green Lab Guide TU Dresden" and together with the Germany-wide project "NACH-LABS - Reducing environmental impact and improving sustainability in laboratories at German universities" at HAW Hamburg, a two-day workshop will be offered on March 13 and 14. The "NACH-LABS" project has developed a tool combining theoretical and practical content, which will be presented and tested in the workshop. The Workshop will be in English.
