Together for sustainable development - sustainability challenge at the start of the winter semester

Starting October 8, 2026, the Livi app will give all university members the opportunity to participate in a sustainability challenge for TU Dresden. Every day, users can earn points for their own sustainable actions on campus. The goal is to collectively reach a specific point total, because every action counts: from choosing a “climate-friendly” meal in the cafeteria to using the free shop on campus, attending educational events on sustainability, or getting involved. The Livi app was originally launched in 2022 under the name Cleema by a cross-company team from Saxony and was supported and funded by the City of Dresden as part of the “Smart Cities” pilot project of the Federal Ministry of Housing, Urban Development and Construction and the project sponsor, the Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau (KfW). In 2024, Sandstorm took over the reins. Since 2026, STESAD GmbH has been contributing as a cooperation partner. The project is supported and accompanied by the City of Dresden. In addition, the team works closely with other Dresden-based institutions and nonprofit organizations.
