The film “Bright Minds. Excellent Research.” was honored with the intermedia-globe GOLD award at the 2023 WorldMediaFestivals in the “Corporate Communications” category. The WorldMediaFestivals have been recognizing excellence in media at the global level for 23 years. The focus lies on audio-visual, print and online productions in the areas of information, education and entertainment.

The TUD film was realized in cooperation with the Dresden company AVANGA Filmproduktion in 2022 to celebrate 10 years of TU Dresden being one of just eleven Universities of Excellence in Germany. “Bright Minds. Excellent Research.” offers insight into the leading-edge research being conducted by scientists at TU Dresden. These researchers are united by the vision of using their findings to solve global challenges. Together, they are searching for knowledge for life. Knowledge from which we all have something to gain.

Since February 2023, the “Bright Minds” series has featured a different protagonist from the film each month in short video clips, where they talk about what excellence means to them.
