Dr. Jens Foell has been involved in NaWik for many years to train scientists in dealing with the media and the public. At TUD, he reports on confident use of the various social media platforms, reactions to hate speech, and current trends for reaching audiences efficiently. In 2017, he founded the Twitter account Real Scientists DE, which provides its users with alternating insights into the work and lives of scientists. Since 2020, he has worked as editor of the scientific YouTube channel maiLab and as editor of the science show MaiThink X. In his many years of research at ZI Mannheim and Florida State University, he investigated the links between the brain and experiences. He is also the author of the award-winning publication on brain activity in phantom pain.
