Prof. Oliver Thorn-Seshold was appointed to the Chair of Organic Chemistry II (Chemical Biology) in 2024. His group develops chemical toolsets for high-precision studies in biology. His lecture highlights chemistry that uses light as an output to image biology in action, as well as using light as an input to remote control enzymes and cellular processes in real time.
