This workshop examines contemporary forms of political polarization in European democracies and their implications for democratic cohesion and political conflict. Particular attention is given to affective polarization, migration and identity, media and misinformation, as well as radical-right mobilization and party competition. The workshop also addresses approaches to democratic resilience and de-polarization. Bringing together advanced doctoral and postdoctoral researchers from across Europe, it provides a forum for the discussion of current empirical and theoretical research in political and social science.
