The University Archives certifies documents relating to degrees obtained at TU Dresden, including the archived certificates of academic degrees (Bachelor's, Master's, Diplom, doctorate, habilitation) up to and including the year of exmatriculation 2022.
Corresponding applications must be submitted in writing to the University Archives.
Authentications will be carried out on presentation of an identity card and the original documents . Advance notification by telephone is requested.
If the original documents are lost, a written application or an appointment is generally required, as archive research is necessary in advance in this case:

In accordance with Circular D 8/6/2006 Official certifications at TU Dresden, up to two copies of the relevant documents are made and certified. This service is subject to a fee in accordance with TU Dresden's scale of fees .
The Directorate Student Affairs and Continuing Education will carry out certifications for degrees from the exmatriculation years from 2019 onwards (student files not yet archived).
Important note: In accordance with § 4 of the Saxon Data Protection Act as amended on 25.04.2018, personal data will only be passed on to third parties if a corresponding power of attorney/declaration of consent from the person concerned is submitted to the University Archives.
