Call for Participants: Science Slam „SCIENCE4PEACE “
Join SCIENCE4PEACE on November 15 at 7:30 p.m. in the Frauenkirche Dresden!
You are convinced that your work in science or technology will contribute to
will help prevent military conflicts, support people who are suffering from the
suffering from the consequences of war, or to make societies resilient against war
war propaganda and cyber war? Do you enjoy telling others about your science and are you looking forward to the the challenge of speaking in front of a large audience?
Then present your research project at the Science Slam in Dresden's Frauenkirche. Apply with your topic as a slammer at SCIENCE4PEACE on November 15, 2024.
Thanks to its history and symbolism, the Frauenkirche Dresden is the perfect place to discuss the connections between science and technology and war and peace. Also because the reconstruction of the Frauenkirche would not have been possible without scientific research in numerous disciplines.
Today, the Frauenkirche is a world-famous meeting place and a symbol of peace. In the midst of Dresden as a center of science, the synergies between
science and peace work should be emphasized and made better known. That is why the Frauenkirche Foundation, the Dresden Technical Collections and the Institute of the United Nations University UNU FLORES are jointly inviting you to the third SCIENCE4PEACE-SLAM.
As a slammer, you have exactly ten minutes to ask the audience your questions,
insights and discoveries. It pays to be creative, entertaining and humorous, because the audience decides who wins in the end!
