Using Generative AI Systems in Tutorials: Basics & Applications
01069 Dresden
This workshop is aimed at (prospective) tutors from all disciplines, primarily those with little or no prior experience with artificial intelligence. In the first part, we will introduce theoretical foundations of AI (What is AI?; data protection/ethics; prompt engineering) and present concrete application areas within tutorials. In the second part, participants will experiment with various AI systems (e.g., ChatGPT, ScaDS.ai, Mistral, Perplexity) in a specific use case.
The goal is to become familiar with these systems, understand their possibilities and challenges, and develop basic media literacy skills so that participants can critically engage with generative AI. The workshop will focus on generating visualizations (e.g., diagrams, board sketches) and exercises.
