Use of generative AI systems in tutorials: foundations and applications
This workshop is aimed at (prospective) tutors from all disciplines, primarily those with little or no experience in working with artificial intelligence.
In the first part, theoretical foundations on AI (What is AI?; data protection/ethics; prompt engineering) as well as concrete application areas in tutoring sessions will be introduced. In the second part, participants will experiment with various AI systems (e.g., ChatGPT, ScaDS.ai, Mistral, Perplexity) for a specific use case.
The goal is to become familiar with different generative AI systems and to understand their functions, possibilities, and challenges, as well as to develop basic media literacy skills so that participants can use generative AI in a critical, secure, and legally compliant way.
