Starting Successfully in the Tutorial: Building Relationships, Clarifying Expectations, Creating Structure
A strong start sets the tone for the rest of the tutorial. In this workshop, you’ll learn how to create clarity, structure, and connection from the very first session. We’ll explore questions such as: How can I introduce myself effectively? How do I build trust without oversharing? How do I clarify expectations and set the framework for the group?
The workshop is designed for both new and experienced tutors and offers practical input, peer exchange, and concrete tools to help you lead your tutorial with confidence.
Learning outcomes:
Participants will:
-
be able to establish a trusting learning atmosphere and actively build relationships at the beginning of a tutorial.
-
be able to clarify expectations and roles transparently and co-create communication rules with the group.
-
be able to develop a clear structure for the first session that provides orientation and a sense of security.
