Scheduled oral examinations and oral supplementary examinations are, alongside written exams, a common part of academic teaching practice. Their diverse formats enable students to demonstrate their knowledge and skills effectively while allowing examiners to assess subject-specific understanding in ways comparable to written assessments.

This online workshop focuses on the professional development of didactic approaches to preparing oral examinations and introduces participants to different assessment and evaluation frameworks. Particular emphasis is placed on reliability, transparency, and fairness to ensure that oral examinations are not only conducted appropriately but also structured in a way that allows students to prepare effectively and understand expectations clearly.
