Open Educational Resources in Tutorials – Use Openly, Apply Purposefully

In this workshop, tutors learn the basics of Open Educational Resources (OER) and explore how open materials can be used meaningfully and legally in tutorials. Practical examples and short interactive exercises support the direct transfer into participants’ own tutorial practice.
Learning objectives:

Identify the fundamentals and added value of OER

Understand the legal framework (in particular Creative Commons licenses) at a basic level

Find and evaluate suitable OER for one’s own tutorial

Develop concrete ways of using OER in tutorials
