On this page, first-year students at the ZIS will find all the dates, information and links they need for a successful start to their studies.
Timeline
The official introductory events of the Center for International Studies (ZIS) will take place on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, on site in Dresden . The welcome event for Bachelor's students will take place at 09:20 in the von-Gerber-Bau, room 037. For Master's students, the welcome event will take place at 13:00 in von-Gerber-Bau, room 037.

In the week before the start of lectures, the IR Association (International Relations Dresden e.V.: website, Instagram, facebook) offers a varied program at the start of studies.
General information about starting your studies at TUD Dresden University of Technology and the university's official matriculation ceremony can be found here.
In the winter semester 2023/24, courses start on October 09, 2023 (Monday). Further information on the academic year in the winter semester and summer semester can be found here.
Practical information on starting your studies
All practical information can be found in the presentation for the introductory event(BA, MA). Please note that the updated presentation for the 2023 enrolment year will only be made available online after the official introductory event.
You can view your provisional timetable here (Bachelor) or here (Master). Please note that we reserve the right to make changes even after the start of the semester. Most courses require registration on OPAL and are specially marked in the timetable.
