Public guided tour on August 17: Botanical tropical journey

Rainforest House I in the Botanical Garden is home to plants from the tropical regions of Asia and Africa
Fresh mint from the garden, lavender blossoms, the smell of hay - plant scents awaken our memories, and not just in summer. But why do plants smell at all? Next Sunday, you can get to the bottom of this question together with outdoor gardener Lysann Neugebauer during a scent walk through the Botanical Garden. Not only late summer flowers can be sniffed out, but also other parts of plants such as leaves, roots and fruits can emit fragrances. Some of them will surprise our noses. The guided tour takes place on Sunday, 07.09.2025 at 10 a.m. The meeting point is the entrance area of the garden at Stübelallee 2.
All public tours are free of charge - donations welcome! Registration is not required.
