Doctoral Student Andrea Hauslbauer presents at TRB Annual Meeting in Washington D.C.
The Boysen-TU Dresden-Research Training Group was represented at the 101st Transportation Research Board (TRB) Annual Meeting in Washington, D.C. from January 9-13, 2022. The Transportation Research Board is a division of the National Academy of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine and serves as an independent advisor to the President and Congress of the United States, among others.
At the associated conference, the TRB Annual Meeting, doctoral student Andrea Hauslbauer (Project C3: Analysis of User Behavior Adjustments for New Mobility Concepts) presented her research titled "The Identification of Mobility Types on a National Level," which is co-authored by her supervisors Prof. Dr. Tibor Petzoldt and Dr. Jens Schade. Using a combination of factor and cluster analysis, the study divides the German population into eight different mobility types based on a variety of characteristics (e.g., demographics, geography, behavior, psychology). The definition of these mobility types serves as a basis for the development of tailored measures and policies, and allows for the estimation of the impacts of such on different groups in society.
