ENERDAY 2023
The 17th International Conference on Energy Economics and Technology - ENERDAY 2023 - took place on May 5, 2023 in the Hörsaalzentrum at TU Dresden. As usual, the organization of the day was handled by the Chair of Energy Economics at TU Dresden.
The 17th ENERDAY was dedicated to the question Energy crisis as accelerator of a sustainable transformation? In connection with this question, related topics were worked on during ENERDAY, such as energy system modeling, natural gas, renewable energy and infrastructure, demand response, energy transition, smart grids, as well as tariffs, etc. Representatives from academia and industry from around the world met in Dresden to discuss all these topics.
After the opening speech by Prof. Dr. Dominik Möst, holder of the above mentioned professorship, the CFO of SachsenEnergie, Dr. Axel Cunow, gave the keynote speech on SachsenEnergie - our contribution to the German energy transition. Dr. Cunow presented SachsenEnergie's strategy for the next 20 years. This was followed by presentations with discussion and Q&A sessions on various subtopics. Doctoral students Lauritz Bühler (Project H5, Technological Learning and the Competitiveness of Selected Hydrogen Technologies), and Jakob Baumgarten (Project E1, Market Model-Based Energy Economic Analysis of H2 Import Demand and Import Potential of Synthetic Gases from MENA Countries) led the Hydrogen and Infrastructure and Market Design session, respectively. Zizhe Wang (Project F6 (BR1), Hydrogen4GreenIT) took advantage of the ENERDAY event for networking and sharing experiences.
With sunny skies overhead, the conference ended with a gala dinner at Spitzhaus in Radebeul.
