Sebastian Gemkow found out about teaching and research at the Chair of Hydrogen and Nuclear Energy at TU Dresden during a visit by our spokesman Prof. Antonio Hurtado on 23.08.2023. He visited the training nuclear reactor and talked with Prof. Hurtado about new technologies that will play an important role in the future climate-neutral energy supply for all energy sectors. "These undoubtedly include hydrogen-based systems, which is why scientific investigations into the production, transport, storage, and conversion of the secondary energy carrier hydrogen are essential. Renewable energy sources, which require transdisciplinary, holistic research, form an important foundation for this," states Prof. Hurtado. Since 2011, he and Prof. Lutz Hagen have been the spokesmen of the Boysen-TU Dresden Research Training Group, which is currently in its fourth cohort and deals with transdisciplinary topics related to hydrogen and supports 20 young researchers.
