Prof. Rösen-Wolff, Vice-Rector Research, welcomes the participants
The workshop on "Energy and Sustainability at TU Dresden" took place on May 30, 2024 with the aim of advancing the linking of the energy research strategy with the sustainability strategy and the future development of an Emerging Field "Energy Systems" (RTG reported). Numerous doctoral students of the Boysen-TUD-Research Training Group were also present as participants in the workshop and supported the three thematic tables by taking minutes and preparing the discussions.
Dr.-Ing. Nicolle Seifert (Project Scout School of Engineering Sciences) and Dr.-Ing. Anja Blüher (Science Management School of Engineering Sciences), there was an intensive exchange between the moderating Prorectorate members Prof. Angela Rösen-Wolff - Vice-Rector Research, Prof. Roswitha Böhm – Vice-Rector University Culture and as representative for Vice-Rector Education, Prof. Michael Kobel Henriette Greulich (ZILL) and Corinna Zimmermann (teaching strategy),, researchers and students at the topic tables 1. strategy with a view to campus, mobility and sustainability, 2. strategy with a view to energy research and 3. teaching strategies, interdisciplinarity and Master's programmes. This enabled a wide range of perspectives and opinions to be collected on the topics of excellent energy research, modern teaching formats and content with the cross-cutting issues of sustainability, internationalization and interdisciplinarity. All participants attached great importance to transparent and comprehensible communication for the visibility of these topics. As a result, the common goal was formulated to identify and network intersections and existing competencies of different areas of TUD in order to make an excellent contribution to the global Sustainable Goals (SDGs) through the further development of sustainable teaching and energy research at TU Dresden.
A follow-up is to take place in 2024. The organizers are once again hoping for numerous participants for innovative contributions and discussions. The previous contributions will be evaluated and analyzed for the planning of the next workshop. As soon as the final concept is available, the participants will be informed and invited. The group of participants will also be opened up to other people.
The organization team would like to thank everyone for their active participation and the Boysen-TU Dresden Research Training Group thanks for the opportunity to accompany and support these exciting topic and to continue networking at TU Dresden!!
