RESEARCH AREAS
- Components and constructions: Development of tools for hygrothermal component simulation and material characterisation (incl. laboratory measurements), development of material damage prediction models (e.g. through frost-immersion cycles), further development of building materials (e.g. internal insulation)
- Buildings and neighbourhoods: development of simulation tools, development of supply concepts with renewable energies, in particular geothermal energy in the form of near-surface geothermal energy
- Plant simulation: development of control concepts to maximise the proportion of renewable energy supply, optimise operating modes and economic efficiency
