DEVELOPMENT OF BASIC CONCEPTS FOR THE RENOVATION OF THE "WASSERSCHLOSS TAUCHRITZ" IN GÖRLITZ
Erarbeitung von Grundkonzepten für die Sanierung des »Wasserschloss Tauchritz« in Görlitz
Within the framework of the research project "Sustainable Renovation of Castles, Palaces and Monasteries", concepts for the energetic improvement of Tauchritz Castle are to be developed, which cover as broad a spectrum as possible with regard to the scope for action on the part of the monument preservation authorities and the possibilities of reducing the energy demand for space heating. The concepts should be characterized by the fact that they are not limited to the adaptation of common energy-saving solutions in accordance with the requirements of the monument, but also contain new approaches to building construction and building climate, which take into account the specifics of smaller baroque castles and manor houses. These concepts are to be compared and evaluated on the basis of selected criteria.
