Building Climatology
Building Climatology is an interdisciplinary field of science studying natural phenomena directly involved into climate formation inside and in the immediate surroundings of the building as well as the climate's influence on the building construction (1). Building Climatology is an application-oriented discipline combining methods and techniques of advanced physics and mathematics, building and construction sector, architecture and climatology. With its history of over forty-years, the Institute of Building Climatology (IBK) is one of the oldest establishments of this kind in Germany.
