Impromptu Design: Para Sport

As part of this year's impromptu design series in the summer semester 2024, the students of the ARCH4HEALTH Student Research Lab delved into the semester's theme of Para Sport.

The students organized various activities around the topics of inclusion, architecture and para sport. Two sports festivals were held, offering insights into accessibility and inclusion in sports.

The Festival of Encounters on June 4, 2024, by the "StadtSportBund Dresden e.V." and the "Lebenshilfe Dresden e.V." took place in the Ostra sports park. At the joint pavilion, visitors were given an insight into the structure and accessibility of sports halls, including the changing rooms. They had the opportunity to test their knowledge of para sport at a spinning wheel .

On June 5, 2024, the TU Dresden hosted a Health Day at the Auditorium Center, where attendees could try out various Para Sports and learn more about the importance of color contrasts for people with visual impairments. You can view the results of a student project in the following video:
