Research Project PRÄKLIMA-Fassade: Completion of PRÄKLIMA monitoring prototype for testing
A façade prototype was recently completed at SOMMER Fassadensysteme - Stahlbau - Sicherheitstechnik GmbH & Co. KG as part of the PRÄKLIMA research project, for the purpose of monitoring its performance. Within the project, a predictive climate-regulating façade system is being developed with a self-learning control system for air conditioning, lighting and glare protection. The control system takes into account weather forecasts as well as user behaviour patterns in order to increase user comfort and reduce energy consumption. In addition, the regulation and the control elements are powered by a PV module integrated into the element, including battery storage, in order to achieve a self-sufficient system. Measurement data will be collected at the test stand to prove the performance of the system.
