Objectives and work programme
Photovoltaic modules (PV modules) make an important contribution to conserving natural resources and offer an environmentally friendly option for generating electricity. Largely influenced by the progress seen in coating technologies, large-scale PV modules can now be manufactured that can no longer be supported by conventional clamp fastenings. The existing solutions for rear bonding of a fixture for thin-film modules are not considered to be adequately developed, neither from a technical nor economic perspective.
As part of the project, an adhesive bond fixture for the rear of the thin-film PV module is to be developed and tested on component models. These fixtures can be attached adaptively to existing substructures from various manufacturers. The adhesive then allows static and dynamic loads from all considered environmental influences to be applied across the lifetime of the PV module.
