Kurt-Beyer-Preis - award winners from our faculty
The Kurt Beyer Prize is awarded at TU Dresden for outstanding final theses in the Faculties of Civil Engineering and Architecture. The prize has been sponsored by HOCHTIEF Construction AG since 1996 and by HOCHTIEF Solutions AG since 2011; it is endowed with EUR 5,000.
Prof. Dr. Kurt Beyer (1881 - 1952) was an internationally recognized expert in steel construction, bridge construction, the construction of large-scale opencast lignite mining equipment and hydraulic engineering. He is regarded as one of the profile-defining professors at Dresden Technical University, where he studied from 1901 to 1905.
