13th Symposium "Experimental Investigations of Building Structures (SEUB)"

A packed Hamburg hall at Messe Dresden for the 13th SEUB
On Wednesday, March 19, 2025, the 13th symposium "Experimental Investigations of Building Structures" (SEUB) took place in the run-up to the Dresden Bridge Construction Conference. For the first time, the event was held at the Dresden Exhibition Center in order to meet the growing demand. Over 360 participants from various areas of the construction industry and research came together to discuss current topics in structural assessment and investigation.

The Dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Prof. Birgit Beckmann, delivers welcoming remarks at the opening of the event
Every two years, SEUB 2025 traditionally provides a platform for exchange and discussion on the assessment of structures with regard to their condition, structural safety and remaining service life. This year's focus was on the importance of condition prognoses and monitoring for the long-term safety of structures and innovative measurement methods that make it possible to analyse the internal structure of structures without destroying them. Another central topic of the conference was the advancing digitalization in structural testing, with great potential for more precise analysis and early identification of weak points.
The 14th SEUB is planned for 2027. The conference proceedings will be published soon on the Saxon document and publication server Qucosa®.
