9th Dresden Asphalt Days on December 11 and 12
As host, Prof. Dr.-Ing. habil. Alexander Zeißler from the Institute of Urban and Pavement Engineering at TU Dresden opens the event
How can road surfaces be made more sustainable and resource-efficient? What alternatives are there to traditional aggregates, and how reliably can the properties of asphalt be predicted over a service life of 30 years? These and other questions were addressed by participants at the 9th Dresden Asphalt Days on December 11 and 12, 2025 in Dresden.
Current research results from asphalt and road construction were presented and discussed over two days. A total of 19 presentations, divided into five thematic lecture blocks, ranged from new measurement methods, bitumen and asphalt to sustainability, service life and road condition assessment. A particular focus was on the transferability of laboratory results to the long-term performance of asphalt pavements in real road operation.
The program was aimed at representatives from authorities and construction companies as well as employees from research institutions, with advisors coming from Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Around 250 participants took part in the event.
The Dresden Asphalt Days took place for the ninth time. Thanks to the support of sponsors, participation was once again free of charge.
