Bauball 2024 and presentation of the Züblin Steel Construction Prize
On May 2, the Züblin Steel Construction Prize was awarded for the 12th time at the Bauball in Dresden's Hygiene Museum. The steel construction prize recognizes outstanding work that contributes to the further development and application of steel construction and was produced as part of a degree or doctorate. The prize is endowed with a total of 3000 euros. A detailed report on the prizewinners' projects can be found here. The award ceremony is traditionally an integral part of the Dresden Construction Ball, the largest annual student event for civil engineers at TU Dresden.
This year's Bauball once again impressively demonstrated how well networked and creative the Faculty's students are in organizing events of a considerable size. Countless sponsors were secured for the financing, the choice of event location and the elaborate design of the various program items underline that the Bauball - which originated from the Bergfest of the 5th and 6th Smester - is not only an exuberant, cheerful celebration but also an integral part of Faculty life that integrates all members of the Faculty.
