Construction Future Lab (CFLab) - Groundbreaking ceremony on 22.08.2025 in Görlitz
The ground-breaking ceremony for the new Construction Future Lab (CFLab) took place in Görlitz on 22.08.2025. The CFLab is an independent research facility of TU Dresden for networked and automated construction and focuses on digital and construction technology innovations in all areas of the construction industry. In addition to the Saxon Minister of State for Infrastructure and Regional Development, Ms. Regina Kraushaar (5th from left), Mr. Jan Gerken (Chancellor of TU Dresden, 1st from right), Mr. Florian Oest (Member of the Bundestag, 2nd from right), Mr. Octavian Ursu), Mr. Octavian Ursu (Lord Mayor of Görlitz, 3rd from right), Mr. Bechmann (Branch Manager Goldbeck Ost, 2nd from left) and the three managing directors of the CFLab (Prof. Jürgen Weber (1st from left), Prof. Frank Will (3rd from left) and Prof. Jens Otto (4th from left)).
The ground-breaking ceremony marks the start of the construction project in Görlitz just six months after the general contractor was commissioned. The CFLab's activities are due to continue there in around a year's time.
