Half a Century of Connection: Graduates Celebrate Their 50th and 60th Graduation Anniversaries at the Beyer Building
Guided Tour of the Hydraulics Laboratory in the Beyer Building
Last Friday, the Faculty of Civil Engineering welcomed five former seminar groups to a special reunion at the Beyer Building. The occasion was the 50th anniversary of the graduates’ diplomas. One seminar group could even look back on 60 years since graduating and was awarded the Diamond Diploma.
The program included two lab tours: In the Soil Mechanics Lab and the Hydraulic Engineering Teaching Lab, the former students gained insights into the current research and teaching opportunities at their faculty. Afterward, the Faculty Administrator gave a brief presentation in the lecture hall, providing insights into the current developments at TU Dresden and the faculty.

The joint program concluded with a ceremonial presentation of the Golden Diplomas for 50 years since graduation and the Diamond Diploma for 60 years.
Afterward, the alumni spent the afternoon at their leisure: Some explored the Beyer Building on an additional guided tour, while others sampled the food served to current students during a group meal in the cafeteria.
