Invitation to the opening of the “Engineering Architecture” exhibition at the Beyer Building
The Faculty of Civil Engineering at TU Dresden cordially invites you to the grand opening of a new permanent exhibition in the fully restored Beyer Building.
- Date: Friday, October 30, 2026
- Time: 1:00–2:00 p.m.
- Location: Beyer Building, foyer on the ground floor of the east wing
In the future, approximately 40 photographs will be on display on the first and second floors, focusing primarily on the works of engineers Ulrich Finsterwalder, Herbert Schambeck, and Gerd Lohmer.
The photographs on display were taken by Cengiz Dicleli. The civil engineer and former professor of structural engineering at the University of Konstanz has been documenting engineering structures through photography for about ten years. He views his work as a tribute to the designers’ life’s work and as a contribution to the preservation of architectural heritage.
The exhibition was curated by Birgit Beckmann and Manfred Curbach. Interested parties are cordially invited to attend the opening and view the photographs.
